The Brabantse Wal Gravel Challenge, returning for its 2026 edition on Sunday, October 11, offers a scenic and challenging ride through the beautiful Brabantse Wal, Grenspark 'de Kalmthoutse Heide', and the polders around Woensdrecht. Riders can choose from four fully aligned distances: 50 km, 60 km, 80 km, or 100 km, catering to both recreational and trained cyclists. The routes feature sections also used in the famous 'Antwerp Port Epic' race, promising an engaging experience with 80% off-road terrain that is generally flat. Starting and finishing at Eetcafé 'de Boulevard' in Ossendrecht, the event provides a lively atmosphere with food, drinks, and music, including the popular Kwaremont cycling beer. Each distance includes two well-stocked aid stations offering sports drinks, bananas, cookies, and sweets to refuel, and the route is clearly marked with signage. Practical amenities such as guarded bike parking, bike wash, showers, changing rooms, and helmet rental are available, with helmets being mandatory. Pre-registration costs €10, while on-the-day entry is €12, with start times between 08:30 and 10:00 for all distances.
